Spring is in full effect and our local coffee shops are getting their customers excited with their new seasonal drink menus. They've worked hard to curate a spring menu for their regular and new customers. Slightly acidic ingredients from Japanese culture are a popular inspiration this season. Woven uses Yuzu in their Sparkling Matcha drink. Yuzu is a citrus native to Japan that resembles a small, lumpy tangerine. It has a tangy flavor, similar to lemon or grapefruit, that is perfect for spring coffees and teas. It brightens up any drink and will jumpstart your morning. Banner uses Yellow miso in their Miso-Pear Caramel Latte, a mid-fermented soybean paste, giving the latte a slightly acidic, salty punch. You can't go wrong with any of these spring drinks. Try them out this April before they're gone and replaced with summer ingredients.
